I finished sewing up the very pretty Yvonne kit from Bwear. And I’m very happy with it. This is again with the few tweaks I’d made to my pattern, and I’m so happy with those tweaks as well.
This is such a pretty kit, and I have enough fabric to make another bra – all I will need is another finding kit. Honestly, this is a very generously supplied kit.
Sewing this up, I had an idea to redo something I’d done for a BMS Challenge back in 2018.You can read the whole post here. Below you can see I split the upper cup.
I really liked this design feature and I’m not sure why I haven’t done it more often. That is on the Ruby pattern, but I’ve been using the Freja pattern lately.

You can see from these images the upper cups are shaped differently. The Ruby has a straighter upper cup. However, I think this would be worth trying after all it’s just adding another seam.
With the lace edge, this will look amazing! The bra will be mostly the floral design lace with just the edge of the upper cup lace. It will give it a completely different look.
Isn’t this fabric gorgeous! And the cradle is the same floral lace fabric. I really like this kit.
Here you can see the bra from the side. Hmm, makes me wonder if there is floral power net out there…
I have one more bra to show you this year, and then I want to be a bit more proactive with some projects that have just been waiting for me for 2026.
Happy creating!
You can see the top lace. But it was the fabric under that top lace that I didn’t realize was a second lace. And there’s a lot of lace here. I will be able to easily make a second bra in the future with just another findings kit.
I’m thrilled with this kit. It’s still available at the time of this writing.
I chose this lovely Rayon fabric that is very light and has a great drape.
This is a really lovely set, and a quick sew too.
I didn’t sew the straps down for modeling on the display form, and I’m glad I didn’t. The straps cross on the back and I hadn’t done that when I pinned them in place for the pictures… so I won’t show you the back on this. You can see how the cross on the back on the pattern above.
I sent this first bit of beading to my niece, who makes the most amazing things. She’s on Facebook:
Another progress picture. I had no idea how much sewing was involved in beading like this. Each bead is sewn down at least twice.
Here I’ve added the quills.
And here is is filled with beads. Is it perfect? By no means. But I’m happy with my first attempt at beading.

The feedback I received was the second sloper was just fine. I didn’t need to make any adjustments.
That’s great news! I’m excited and ready to start the skirt part next.
These are my favorite hipster. It’s a modern hipster, and as soon as HM is selling her patterns again, I’ll let you know.
Yes, I do love this pattern. I like how it looks a bit like a boy short, but it’s not sewn together the same a boy short is. It also fits me a lot better than boy shorts.
Yes definitely an older style of hipster, but I still love it.
These both came together easily, and I’m happy with them both.
I love turquoise. And I’m loving my two new turquoise bras.

Next I need some turquoise panties. I don’t have any of those in the panty drawer.
I have a coral one all cut out that I’ll share with you next week. But this month Bwear has this lace with a red bra kit.
That makes such a difference in how this is fitting. I’m such a happy bra-maker right now.
So those two small changes have really made a big difference in how this fits, and I’m thrilled.
For this bra I used some gorgeous lace and findings from Bwear, and part of a turquoise kit from BMS. I have just enough duo and power net to make a second bra from that kit. Stay tuned for that next turquoise bra.
This lace is beautiful. I wish I had a coral bra kit to pull those colors out of it. Red would work too, but as soon as I saw the blue, I knew what I wanted. I love turquoise.
