I saw this lace and knew it was for Em. After sending her a quick photo, she confirmed this was perfect for her.
This lovely butterfly lace comes from B,Wear’s shop.
Isn’t this lovely?
Seeing as the Watson is my favorite bra to make for Em, this had to become another Watson.
I made a lace-edged cup again, and kept the scallops along the bottom as well. I even cut out a little lace butterfly to add as a detail at the center front.
Em doesn’t need support in a bra, but she needs comfort. So again for this Watson, I’ve used the stretch lace throughout the bra – including for the back band.
There was a little bit of lace left over, and I thought it would be just enough to make Em a pair of panties to go with her new bra. A girl needs her matchy matchy after all.
These are the Clover Briefs with lace at the upper edge. I cut out a second little butterfly to add at the center front again.
I’m not sure if you can see, but I had to add a seam to the front of the panties. There wasn’t quite enough lace without seaming the pieces together.
So for the back of the panties, it had to be cotton Lycra.
It all still coordinates well, and I think the set looks adorable. Em loved it. And yes, she got it a bit early.
There are a few other projects on my cutting table, so I got this to her first.
Happy creating!

This is lovely. It’s a bit too small for my display form, but that tells me it will fit Em just fine.
The littlest pair of Clover Briefs, but without the upper band. So they’re really Clover Hipsters.
Just adorable.
I hope Em loves this set.
As soon as I saw this lace, I put the copper finding kit aside. I knew this bra needed black findings! And I love it.
And you know I made a matching set, don’t you?
It’s interesting that the golden lace seemed to lighten the look of this CL. In the same way, the black lace seems to darken it as well.
Here is the set together.
Lastly, here’s a collage of my three ‘beige’ bras and panties.
It was fun to sew them all together and complete my bra wardrobe for 2023.
Oh, this lace! Love!!
I’ve decided I’m going to make a
That lace trim is a really pretty golden color. The trim on the leg is actually the same lace trim that is at the waist – I just followed the curved design in the lace and made my own scalloped narrower lace for the leg openings.
Above you can see where I followed the design lines.
What do you think? Do you think the golden lace trim helps pull it all together?
I love this lace. It’s so pretty. So delicate. I think it’s lovely with beige duoplex too.
A lovely new bra isn’t enough though, is it? I need some panties to match, am I right?
Again, I’m using the House Morrighan Clover Boy Brief pattern.
Here is my new beige set together.
Next week I’ll share my next set.
Most of my makes are a full hipster with lace trim, but I decided to make one of my Clovers with a little more lace this time.
I had a hard time finding Ivory cotton Lycra that wasn’t almost white. Clearly I did find some though.
That’s pretty close in color. The other ‘Ivory’ I bought was a lot more white.
These are darling! I added some narrow plush band elastic inside the waist because this is really stretchy stretch lace.
I love this set!
I heard
I’m not sure if it’s the Barbie effect, but I’m really loving the pink right now. Normally I’m more a fan of fuchsia, but I’m really enjoying this set.
Here’s the bra and panty together.
I’m happy to have another full set to enjoy.
I took this photo while enjoying Nikki’s class on Fitting As We Age. I’m loving the Bee so far this year. I have a few more sewing/adjusting patterns projects planned for during the Bee too.
These were such cute kits.
And I thought they were adorable. But when I looked for the pattern, I found the more recent version.
You can see the seam is sitting just forward. With the seam sitting forward just a bit like that, it makes the lace trim match up better for joining it.
You can see on this older make the lace trim joins at a bit of a point. With the seam forward, it’s just a little neater.
I have some solid pink cotton Lycra for a second pair of panties. I’m just not sure which pattern I want to make yet.
Some good news – my hand is healing and improving. So I’ll be back soon with more makes.
To be honest, I’m still not sure. I think it falls somewhere in-between the two colors. And I like them both too, but I decided this was closer to coral.
I used a peachy colored elastic on the legs to match the copper of the cups and band, but I wanted the rest shades of coral.
Oh, I still like my KS2286s. They have a bit of a ’80s vibe to them, they’re still adorable.
Oh, just as adorable!
Here’s the full set of matchy matchy.
Just lovely.
The colors are so rich and vibrant.
This looks like an adorable hipster, but it sits much higher on.
I looked around, but I couldn’t find the color of lace I wanted, so I dyed this lace using Burnt Orange acid dye. It turned out perfectly!
You see, that’s a full coverage back. What the pattern shows is definitely not quite what you get. Still, these have been a favorite of mine for years now.
Oh, I think these are cute.
You can see these have full coverage too, but they sit a little lower over the leg.
That is some perfectly matching matchy matchy.
