A Balancing Act

I don’t have any sewing to share with you today. And I don’t have a Craftsy sale to share either.

Some things have changed in my family’s circumstances – all for the good – but are making a daily demand on me right now. I’m driving into the city daily, which is taking up about 2 hours of my time.

With all that driving, I just don’t find I have time to do much sewing. Rather than getting all stressed, I’ve decided to take a break from my blog while I’m in this time. I’m hoping it will only be for a month or two.

However, I didn’t want to just disappear. As I said, I hope this is a short season and I’ll be back sewing and sharing soon.

Happy creating!

  1. I hope things are resolved in a good way, Michelle. It has been a difficult winter for me, and a loved one who needed help for a while, but things are improving. Wishing you the best, and take the time you need. I found while things were especially stressful, I read more blogs, and ‘sewed in my head’, following the order of operations to make a bra and a shirt. When I got back to sewing, it is like I knew exactly what to do, and it made me remember the importance of my sewing time, and the on line community I enjoy so much.

    1. Thank you, Donna. I’m hoping this particular demand will only be for a few months. I know I’ll miss sewing, but like you, will still read and keep up with things online.

  2. Michelle, just signed up for your blog, so hope all goes well. One additional thing, how can I get the English instructions for the Rebecca bra? If you still have them, can you send them via email? Thanks so much.

    1. Hi Becky,

Thanks! I’m trying hard to find some time to sew, and I am finding bits here and there. Just not as much all at once as I was used to having. I’d be glad to send you the English instructions for the Rebecca bra.
