Sometimes you see a bra kit, and it’s so lovely. You know you want it, but you just can’t buy everything all the time.
That happened to me a few months ago. I saw the most gorgeous bra on B,Wear’s site.
Isn’t this gorgeous?
Well, by time I went to buy it about a month later, it was gone.
I was disappointed. But an email to B,Wear, and they said they could put together another kit for me.
To my great surprise, I got to see my name on the kit! Michelles Special. That was a real treat for me, along with the kit being available again.
I had to get it! You know I had to get it, right?
And I am not disappointed at all.
As much as I was looking forward to sewing with this kit right away, I wanted to sew up Em’s June bra. I decided I would share my precious lace with her this month.
Oh! These colors!
Orange isn’t usually a favorite color of mine, but paired with this fuchsia… LOVE!
This is just lovely. The colors are so rich.
The findings here aren’t actually fuchsia. They’re hot pink from The Bra Makery. I adore how they bring a little extra pop to the bra. Just adding a bit more depth of color to it all.
Yes, this adorable Watson bra is bow worthy.
I have to share with you, I was a terrible tease to Em. I asked her if she wanted a hint what her bra was for June. She said yes of course. So I sent her this.
I know! A terrible tease, but she laughed.
Happy creating!
I knew right away they’d match perfectly with that kit.
The green is the perfect pop of color.
I chose to only use the Pistachio on the upper part of the bra. My frame is sheer cup lining and power net, so I wanted to keep it looking black. If I’d been using duoplex or nylplex the pistachio wouldn’t have shown through, but it really did show through the sheer cup lining.
This bra has such lovely rich fall colors. I’m very happy with my new make, and I’m still loving the Freja pattern.
I really love this Pistachio color! I was looking through my lace to see what else I had that would go well with it.
I still have some of this
I think this will match perfectly with the pistachio color too. But not with the burn orange this time. Basic black always works.
Not long after that, this lovely Gunilla kit was available. I looked to see if this kit was still on her website, but unfortunately it’s not. It wouldn’t hurt to request it again though.
Oh, I love this lace. I do hope I can get some more of it too. It would look wonderful with ivory or blue, but I have to say the red really makes it pop!
Do you see that peek of ivory at the back? For a long time I wouldn’t make a bra if the kit didn’t have all matching parts. The band and straps had to be the same color. But I’m more open to coordinating fabrics like this set now. It gives me more options too.
I’m thrilled with a new pattern that fits me so well. I already have 3 more kits on the cutting table to make next. I do have plans to test a few more patterns, but I really love this bra pattern.
Oh, I loved the lace and the copper duoplex together. I was sad it didn’t fit perfectly.
I loved the shaping of this bra, and the Freja is very close to the same shaping.
I had this lovely pink kit from BMS so decided to use it for my second attempt of the Freja. It’s lovely!
I could use the tip from Porcelynne on the side here – to add another strip of channeling beside the wire channeling and add boning there. However, when I was wearing this it wasn’t bothering me that the wire is a little lower at the side.
I’m really happy with how the Freja fits. Yes, there’s a little playing around I can do to help my Omega shape fit even better, but for an attempt I wasn’t sure would turn out better than the first time, I’m very happy.
Next I’m thinking of making a pair of panties to match.
This
Here’s the back of the bra. It has a nice curved U shape to the straps. Despite all the testing, this was a bit big for me. I think it’s mostly due to the fabric. I’d been using

Oh, it’s so delicate and so pretty.
I had some copper power net and I found it went perfectly with the leaf outlines in the lace.
Because this is a stretch lace, I’ve lined the frame and the cups with an ivory sheer cup lining.
Here you can just see a bit of the copper power net.
Above is a bit more of a side view. Oh, I love this! The lace is so delicate and so pretty.
And the back view. I really love copper power net and duoplex too. I wish I could find the perfect cotton Lycra to match copper though. Has anyone found that? Let me know.
I love the red and black check. For me, this spoke Christmas. So, I made a Christmassy Josey Milady bra.
I’m just teasing. I couldn’t resist playing a little bit with some photo effects.
Oh, this is pretty! I’ve added a 3/4s foam cup inside again. It’s my current favorite style, and I find it so very comfortable.
I love this lace so much, I wanted to use it for the frame of the bra as well. Because this is a stretch lace, I’ve lined the frame with sheer cup lining. I didn’t line the cups as I was using foam inside.
The back is solid red, but still Christmassy.
Although I did mirror the plaid pattern along the upper cup, I didn’t even think of trying to match up the plaid on the rest of the bra! No, that would have been quite the feat to do that.
I did use a different lace, but I think it has a similar enough look to it. I love this!
This fabric combination is very elegant.
I couldn’t resist. I’ve already purchased a soft tulle kit for this pattern.

Sewing these smaller sizes I learned that, yes, you can make a bra in a couple of hours. It was a new experience for me.
Now, I love beige, but not this pink. I know many who do love it, including Em. She grabbed this kit right away.
It’s interesting to see, my mannequin is larger than a size 2.75. This barely fits her.
Em’s all taken care of for the time being. Next I need to sew some dog boots before the snow comes, and then I have a couple of Josey II bras waiting to be sewn and a new bra cup fabric too.
Oh, it’s another love for this. The lace is so delicate and so pretty.
Oh, those salmon/coral colors.
I had everything for this bra from a leftover kit, well everything except strap elastic. So I had to use beige, which doesn’t look quite so light and different in person.
Back to the Josey II. Here’s the back. I do have to say, I prefer copper over beige. It’s a warmer richer color.
