Black Freja Bra

I’m still loving the Freja pattern. I decided I had some pretty colors, it was time for a nice basic black bra. Well, not too basic.Isn’t this pretty? I really love the lace. It has a barely there look to it with delicate floral outlines and just a hint of color on the petals.

I also love how delicate the lace edge is.Oh, I like that. Who knew lace addiction was a real thing?

Here’s the side view.   And lastly, here’s the back view.  As I said, it is basic, but it’s a very pretty basic black.

I had cut out a second black bra from a kit I bought from Emerald Erin. The lace is the loveliest lace. I had everything cut and ready to sew on my cutting board when I saw an announcement from B,Wear.

They have brought in a new color of elastics. Pistachio. I ordered a couple of kits. It’s too pretty to resist. I think it will go perfectly with my second black bra, so it’s current waiting for the mail to arrive.

I’ll share it as soon as it’s finished.

Happy creating!

  1. This is beautiful. The pistachio findings from BWear is beautiful. Their colours are absolutely gorgeous.
I have a question-I am a bra for a friend who is very busty and very heavy. I made a few Williowdale testers and the last one I made I am very close but I suggested that I make a different style that will give more support such as the Classic bra the Pin Up Girls. What would you suggest? I am
Using a 58L wire and the last tester was 44J but I have to give more space on the inner cup because the wire is not hitting the chest. I ordered an omega wire but I think that is going to be too short. What bra pattern would you suggest?

    1. Thank you, Harlean. For a fuller bust most of the larger cup sizes are designed to be supportive. The PUG Classic, Shelley, the Josey (that’s only available until the end of this year), Angie, or Jessica. Something not often mentioned is you can double the cup fabric, or line it with foam or sheer cup lining to help make the cup more supportive. As well, double the back band fabric. That will really help with support. I do think the PUG patterns have one of the larges size ranges. Oh, Porcelynne’s pattern have a large size range too. We’re all shaped differently, so if one pattern isn’t working really well, it is a good idea to try another one. I hope this helps.
